The researchers found the risk of death was 32 percent higher across a lifetime for single men compared to married men.
It would be interesting to see what the correlation is between single men who are risk takers, and single men who show a little more common sense about risk. My guess is the risk takers account for a much larger proportion of premature deaths among single men. If you're lax about your physical safety, you probably aren't going to be real concerned about your overall health. Especially amongst younger males.
Since I've never been much of a risk taker, I'll go with that rationalization.
On the other hand, who wants to live forever?
